Wah!!!, now we have Legoland Malaysia in Johor Bahru!! And it is the first Legoland Park in Asia ! And we say, kau hado, kau mampu?

It is located within the new township of Nusajaya, Johor that also houses the Johor State and Federal government office or known as Johor State New Administrative Centre (JSNAC).

If you are driving, point your GPS to 1º 26’ 14" N 103º 37’ 2" E

And the place I am staying is a mere 15minutes from the park. Makin mahal rumah aku ni!!

Or,

From the North-South Highway / Senai Airport

Take Tuas / Nusajaya / Pontian / Tanjung Pelepas EXIT 253

Proceed to Nusajaya

EXIT 312 > LEGOLAND Malaysia signage will lead you to the destination.

From Johor Bahru / CIQ / Singapore via the Coastal Highway

From Danga Bay, proceed straight via the Coastal Highway

Proceed all the way to Nusajaya

LEGOLAND Malaysia will be seen before reaching Kota Iskandar.

From Singapore via the Tuas Second Link

Proceed until you see the Nusajaya EXIT 312

You will see LEGOLAND Malaysia signage.

Yesterday, members of the media were given the opportunity to experienced all the 40 attractions in within their 7 themed areas covering the same area as 50 full size football pitches !!

All the 7 themed areas are:
1. The Beginning - the entrance area to the park.

2. Miniland: Asia in Lego Bricks.

Here, Asia's most famous countries, cities and landmarks are recreated €on a scale of 1:20 using more than 30 million Lego bricks!! And yes, it took more than three years to complete !

** ASSALAMUALAIKUM W.B.T **

=>Gadgets are electronically simplified applications that make work easy. They play a significant role in the common man's life and we have grown so used to it that it becomes very difficult for us to think of daily life chores in the absence of gadgets. Ranging from a washing machine, a chimney or an electric hub, the churner or simply the television set; gadgets have invaded each and every part of our life and have proved themselves to be useful.

Gadgets and their importance
1. Gadgets increase our efficiency. Before the invention of the telephone or the more recent e-mails, sending messages and letters would take days to reach its destination. The soft wares used for application in the internet and the telecommunication are nothing but technical gadgets. These gadgets actually have increased human productivity in terms of work and made the world a better place to live in.
2. A gadget brings joy to the family. With the advent of web-cam and other video accessories, staying away from family and friends is no longer painful. These gadgets can make distant things come near and makes human accessibility very easy.
3. Gadgets make things compact- Take the example of a Swiss Army knife. It can be used as a spoon, knife, twizzer, bottle opener, fork etc. In a single gadget a user can get the function of more than one product.
4. They help in saving space. Initially in the early years of telecommunication the wired handsets could be positioned at a prescribed position only for connectivity. With advent in technology, mobiles were invented that allowed users the freedom to access calls when moving around. With a blackberry one can also avail internet facilities when moving around.
5. Gadgets are fun! iPods, music systems, video games, DVD and most important of all the popular idiot box of ours-"TV" need no introduction as to how enjoyable have they made our lives. These technical gadgets have the power to make us smile by having access to our emotions and needs. They are instruments that can ward off the feelings of loneliness. They are so fun that it actually becomes very essential to integrate them with our lives.
So, gadgets not only make our lives easier but also save our money and precious time. Buying a single gadget will give us the functions of many. This makes gadgets cheap and affordable. It can therefore be concluded that gadgets are not only important because they make our lives easy but also because we can play with them.

                                                    => VIDEO GAMES <=

>>Video games have been popular since their introduction in the United States in the 1970s. In the early days, video games were basic, animated interactive games. More sophisticated graphics were introduced into the medium in the late 1980's. Nowadays, the term "video games" includes video games, computer games and hand-held electronic games.

Video games are a ubiquitous part of today's world, being the more preferred leisure activity for more people, including youths and adults. There is also a rising trend of movies being converted into video games to target a wider audience. For instance, Enter the Matrix the video game, was released together with the film, Matrix Reloaded. Video games are also often used in training. Both Singapore and the US army modified available video games to hone the strategic and decision-making skills of officers. The US army version was also released into the mass market.

Accompanying these trends is the underlying concern of the effects of video games on children or youths, especially with the move towards increased violence and realism in these games. Though the impact of video games is not yet as evident in Singapore, studies, in particular the United States, have shown that video games can affect youths both positively and negatively.

Positive Impact of Video Games
Researchers have found that video games are invaluable in health care settings. Some mental health professionals felt that in playing video games, certain children can develop a sense of proficiency which they might otherwise not achieve. Some adults also believed that video games offer benefits over the passive medium of television, these include:

Advantages of Video Games:
a. Offer the potential to foster creativity;
b. Provide a fun and social form of entertainment;
c. Make kids feel comfortable with technology;
d. Increase children' s self-confidence and self-esteem as they master games;
e. Develop skills in reading, math and problem-solving;
f. Promote pro-social behaviours, such as helping and caring;
g. Teach eye-hand coordination and visual spatial ability;
h. An important medium for self-directed learning, health promotion and disease management;
i. Facilitate language development in autistic children and
j. Provide play therapy for inhibited children

Negative Impact of Video Games
However, it is found that video games could have more negative effects on youths. Despite its apparent value in the area of health care and learning, video games are overwhelmingly used for fun. Violent video games provide a forum for learning and practising aggressive solutions to conflict situations. The active nature of the learning environment of video games suggests that this medium is potentially more dangerous than TV and movie media.Performing violent actions in video games may also be more conducive to children' s aggression.Research have also shown that there is a short-term relationship between playing violent games and increased aggressive behaviour. It was indicated that the more children practise violent acts (in video games), the more likely they are to perform violent acts. Hence, for youths, the possible negative effects are:

Possible Disadvantages of Video Games
a. Playing aggressive games display more verbal and physical aggression to inanimate objects and playmates; b. Exhibiting more aggressive thoughts among the youths;
c. More likely to attribute hostile intentions to others;
d. Correlation between aggressive delinquency and behaviour;
e. Reduction of empathy for victims, leading to higher possibility of youths becoming more violent individuals; f. Desensitization to violent behaviour;
g. Less trust and increased fearfulness;
h. Fall in academic performance;
i. Induction of additive behaviour resulting in possible truancy and even stealing to get their "video game fix " ; j. Results in greater sedentary lifestyles, poorer eating habits and increased obesity;
k. Reduction in physical fitness with possibility of later heart disease;
l. Affects youths' attitudes toward gender stereotypes;
m. Stresses autonomous action rather than cooperation and thus does not encourage or promote teamwork and
n. Excessive or addictive use of gaming, which may be at the expense of active pastimes.

>>BISMILLAHIRAHMANIRRAHIM....<<

>>As everyone knows, friendship is one of the most important things in our lives. Sometimes we cannot live without friends. According to relationship, we have to make friendship with good friends to get benefits. On other hand, we have to be optimistic although we have some bad friends in our lives and we have no idea about them. However, I can divide my friends into three groups: honest friends, successful friends, and motivated friends. The purpose for the classification depends on my society.

My honest friends are always with me whatever happens to me or wherever I am, and that makes them honest friends. In addition, they always say the truth and help me when I need help. Therefore, I spend a lot of time with them more than anyone else. One other thing I love in my honest friends is they always ask me about my health, my education, and all other things. For instance, "A good friend can tell you what is the matter with you in a minute. He may not seem such a good friend after telling". By Arthur Brisbane, The Book of Today. In my view, friends should be honest to each other, no matter how hurtful things can be.
Second group of my friends is successful friends group. Actually, they almost do good things. They study hard and try to save their own time. I hope I spend a lot of time with them to learn new and useful things. Furthermore, they always advice me and convince me to do useful things. We all like to have friends, but there is an old saying you can never have too many friends. Unfortunately, I have a few of them in my lives. I think successful friends are the best friends because we always get benefits from accompanying them.
Last group of my friends is motivated friends group. Of course, they always motivated me to do new things. Unfortunately, sometimes we make mistakes together. They always want to spend a lot of time with me because they like me, no doubt, I like them, too. We always have fun when we meet together. I almost meet them everywhere such as school, gym,...etc. Other important things within them are they motivate me to do g

eneral things and motivate me to leave general things. In fact, that doesn't make sense and looking strange for me. However, I think all of us have to be careful with motivated friends. They can motivate us to do marvelous things. Conversely, they can motivate us to do horrible things.

Finally, whatever friends I have had, I always like to spend a lot of time with them. I think some of them are not good, but I still love them because of our friendship. In comparison, they are so different, but all of them have something and useful things. In addition, I think I will get a new group of friends. They will be international friends. I don't know if they will be honest friends, successful friends, or motivated friends, but I know they will be not from my home country. To sum up, I advice earnestly to protect our friends. Also, it is not necessary to carry a lot about their mistakes because all of us make mistakes. We just want to remember there is no one perfect.
